Falcon Girls Wrap up Season

ST.ALBANS–Strong and gusty northwest winds, fifty degree temperatures, and light showers, perfect weather for the final girl’s golf match of the season. This was a make-up, weather postponed the first date. Weather worse than this?
26 girls from 8 high schools braved the conditions to compete in the Champlain Invitational, including a record 9 golfers from South Burlington. Essex won the event with a score of 98. BFA edged Burlington115 to 117 for second. MVU finished fifth with a 125, followed by North Country.
North Country was represented by Captain Bailey Walker, and rookie Allison Greenwood. This was Greenwood’s third tournament.
According to Coach Hampton, “She has worked hard to learn the game, and has quickly learned the skills necessary to play the game. She will be a contributor next year.”
