JAY–It has been four years coming, and it was worth the wait, as the North Country boy's hockey team finally defeated the BFA Bobwhites by a 3-2 margin on Wednesday night at the Ice Haus Arena.
"I was very happy for the guys to come away with the victory, especially with all of the stories that they have heard about BFA," said NCU coach Andrew Roy. "It was a good game of hockey, we limited their scoring opportunities, had a few of our own and won the game."
Chris Bronson stopped 17 shots as North Country improves to 11-4-1. The two Bobwhite goalies combined to stop 16 for 6-8-2 BFA.
The home stand continues on Saturday evening when the Falcons' will host Rutland in the back-end of a Hockey Night in Jay double-header.
After a week of practice, the girls will get underway first at 5:00, squaring off against Brattleborro with the boy's contest to follow.
