Falcons Drop Rangers 7-0 in Girls Tennis

NEWPORT– The North Country girls tennis team defeated Lake Region by the score of 7-0 on Friday afternoon at Prouty Beach.
The Falcons lost only two sets during the match, as they out played the Rangers all afternoon.
Lake Region was forced to place their number one player Desirae Colorado in the number three spot, as she was dealing with some injury issues and not functioning at one hundred percent. She would eventually lose to Kelsey O’Donnell, NCU’s number three. Taking her spot at number one was Kelly Leblanc who fell to Falcons ace Martha Petzoldt.
Deanna Brandstetter won in the number two slot over Sara Gaboriault. Number four Rhiannon Rosamillia went over Holly Lalime, and at number five Alan Perry continued her hot streak, beating Olivia Bernard.
Rosie Wheeler and Mollie O’Keefe got the win over Darcy Burke and Trisha Morley in number one doubles as the duo of Briana Treadwell and Carlie Diette beat Miranda Beaudry and Savannah Budziack to round out the sweep.
