ORLEANSâ€“The North Country cross country team picked up where they left off from last week's race at Primeau Farm, sweeping the top position in all three divisions at the Lake Region Relays on Monday afternoon.
The categories were broken down into boy-girl, boy-boy and girl-girl, with each runner completing a 1.6 mile lap.
Avery Ellis and Parker LaCourse (20:32) teamed up to finish first in the boy-girl division, followed by Lyndon Institute's Keegan Wilson and Kylie Harris (22:46) in second, and NCU's Patrick Tetreault and Briana Bonnell (23:02).
In the boy-boy division Andrew Franklin and Ross DeLaBruere (19:06) came in over a minute ahead of the second place combo of Joe Call and John Puffer (20:28) from Blue Mountain. North Country's Elliot Brunnette and Wyatt Hamby (21:09) were third.
The girl-girl division saw Jade Dandurand and Laura Smith (25:55) earn the top honors with a Lyndon-Hazen duo, Casie Bean and Ellen Emers (26:00), in second and the sister team of Maggie and Emma Stuart from NCU (26:26) in third.
The closest host Lake Region would get to a top-three spot was a fourth place finish in the boy-girl division, as Emily Millar and Cody Dollof were one second behind the the third place team from North Country.
Other finishes for North Country include: Rebekah Young/Alex Cotnoir (B-G): 5th in division (23:25), Kristina Gauvin/Fred Petzoldt (B-G): 8th in division (26:07), Emma Decelles/Alex Charboneau (B-G): 9th in division (26:45), Rachel Petzoldt/Gabriela Fort (G-G): 4th in division (26:50), Jackie Prue/Julianna Bourgeois (G-G): 5th in division (30:21)
Jordan Howell/Brianna Grimm (G-G): 7th in division (33:49) and Â Josh Raboin/Evan Clarke (B-B): 6th in division (25:40).
The Falcons and Rangers will head to the Mountain League Meet at U-32 on Saturday.
