NEWPORT-The North Country Falcons kicked off their 2014 football season with a tough 14-6 loss to the Milton Yellowjackets on Friday night.
things got off to great start for the Falcons as a great kick return by Jared Hussey put the Falcons in prime scoring position.
A throw from QB Hunter Stanley to Connor Hogan on the next play sent the senior receiver into the endzone, giving the Falcons their first lead in a long time.
They would hold that lead into the second half before Milton went ahead on QB carry by Tyler Lamphere.
They would take the lead on a 2 point conversion and add another touchdown late to seal the win.
Now standing at 0-1, the Falcons are back at home next Friday when they host Lyndon Institute.
