LYNDON–North Country took advantage of the mistakes made by an inexperienced Lyndon Institute team en route to a 13-5 win on on Monday.
The Vikings walked 11 batters and committed 10 errors in the game as Coach Bonvechio likened the contest to one of those long drawn out Yankees Red Sox games.
"It was a very sloppy game, there were three catcher's interference calls which created a lot of confusion on the field," said Bonvechio, "I mean when was the last time you saw that?"
While it was a tough road for the Vikings, the Falcons got a strong performance from Cris Buckles who made his first official varsity start after his start against Colchester was rained out.
"He handled himself fine." said the Coach.
Nate Stewart pulled out of a 2-20 slump with two hits, Connor Burke had two hits as well, and Tom Blake reached base in all five plate appearances.
The win propelled the now 5-7 Falcons from third to last to the tenth place in the standings, and the team will look to keep rolling this week as their season nears the end.
