NEWPORT CITY - The roar of high-speed engines rose from Lake Memphremagog Saturday as snowmobilers sped down a track of ice in hopes to be the one with the fastest machine and take home a trophy.
The Fire and Ice Radar Runs 2014 had 57 sleds with a highest speed of 135 miles per hour, one mile shy of the all-time event record.

Please see The Newport Daily Express Monday for the complete story, results of the Radar Run, and photos from Winterfest.
