Four Goals in the First Sends North Country Past Rutland

JAY–The final regular season game for the North Country Falcons held important play-off implications.
If they could defeat Rutland and if Colchester lost, then they would lock down the number four seed and earn a home play-off game.
Lose and they would have to hit the road to open the post-season, something they have not had to do in three years.
The girls assessed the situation, strapped on their helmets, and promptly went out and defeated the Rutland Red Raiders 4-0, and combined with Colchester's loss to Spaulding, took home the number four seed in the Metro Division their first year in the league.
"I think the first period was great," said NCU coach Claude Paul. "I think the first shift was a little rough, but after that we got going. We were getting good chances and the puck was going into the net. I was also pretty happy with our defense"
