Fourth Quarter Shooting Sends BFA Over North Country 52-49

December 21, 2011

ST.ALBANS–The Falcons' boys basketball team traveled to Franklin County Tuesday night to face BFA St. Albans, and despite a strong outing, fell to the Bobwhites 52-49.
"It was a very exciting game," said coach Bonvechio, "We played some of our best basketball, especially in the second quarter."
After finishing the first quarter trailing by three, North Country came out flying in the second, outscoring the opposition 23-9, and took a 33-21 lead into the break.

Someone who is not struggling is Caleb Prue, who once again was the leading scorer for North Country, netting 24 points in the loss.
Said Bonvechio, "Caleb dominated. He has the great ability to get the ball into the paint and finish in traffic, even if he has two guys on him."
The boys are on the right track to accomplish their goal of being a defensively minded, physically and mentally tough team from tip-off to buzzer. If they can tighten up some of the little things as well as spread out the scoring, they will be in a good position to challenge the top programs in the state.
Next up is a rematch against MVU at home on Friday night. Tip-off is at
