Gallup Wins Sportsmanship Award

BOSTON–Danika Gallup , a senior at Lake Region Union High School, has just been awarded $5,000 as part of the Hood Good Sport Scholarship Program. For the second year in a row, HP Hood has awarded $5,000 scholarships to varsity athletes who demonstrate good sportsmanship on and off the field, as well as excel in academics and is an involved community member.
Out of the over 2,400 submissions received, 3 winners were selected out of 10 finalists in each New England state. Gallup was 1 out of 3 chosen for the scholarship in Vermont. She will be attending Saint Michael's College in the fall.
