Glover Discusses Resolution More Aggressively Than Town Budget

March 4, 2014

This year the Glover Town Report was dedicated to Bob and Gisele Clark for their service to the town over the last 60 years. Mr. Clark thanked the town for the honor but had one small clarification he wanted to make. He was in the Navy, not the Army. Ross Clark stood up and said that he had noticed the error. “I knew you didn’t want to be a grunt. I knew you wanted to be an anchor cranker,” he offered. (Photos by Tabitha Armstrong)

Glover - Town Meeting Day was a cold one this year, and in Glover temperaments stayed fairly cool as well. The town’s budget of $793,061.11 to be raised by taxes was passed with few discussions, and for the first time in at least 40 years, the first time in the memory of anyone present, the meeting concluded before the lunch break.
