GLOVER TO THE RESCUE

GLOVER, VT – Two members of the Glover Ambulance Squad traveled to New Jersey this week to help provide relief efforts following Hurricane Sandy, which ravaged the Jersey Coast early last week.
Jersey residents have been hit yet again with a harsh winter storm.
Squad members Dennis Gibson and Chance Griffin drove the service’s newest ambulance. The trip took about six hours. The crew had to take a 12 hour rest before attending meetings and getting their assignments.
Glover is joining ambulances from Lyndon Rescue, Vergennes, Fletcher Allen Coordinated Transport, Williston Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance Service and others.
Adam Heuslein, chief of Glover Ambulance Service, stressed the town still has two remaining ambulances and a full crew to respond to calls. He also thanked Windshield World and Northeast Kingdom Balsams for allowing Gibson and Griffin to take time off from their jobs to participate in the mission.
Heuslein expects Gibson and Griffin will return Sunday.
