NEWPORT–In the second game of a back-to-back, the North Country girls fell to second-seeded Rice Memorial on Tuesday night at the Falcon Gymnasium.
Said NCU coach Christiane Brown on playing two nights in a row, "It was not tough for us because we were the underdogs. If we had been the favorites in the game, then it might be a different story."
Friday night will wrap up a busy week for the 5-10 Falcons, as they welcome in 3-12 St. Johnsbury.
"We need to play four full quarters against St. J," Brown said, a reference to their first meeting of the season when the Hilltoppers picked up a 27-20 win over the Falcons last month.
In the JV game, Mackenzie Caswell had ten points and Kylie Jones had eight junior Falcons earned the 37-34 win.
Friday night's action starts with the JV's at 5:00, followed by the Varsity right after.
