ORLEANS - State police are looking for the gunman who fired shots into two Northeast Kingdom convenience stores Thursday morning.
Detective Lt. Bob Cushing said that at about 1:50 a.m., state police received a 911 call about a shooting at the Orleans Sunoco.
At 2:40 a.m., state police received a second call about a shooting at the Cumberland Farms Store in Lyndonville.
The clerk at the Cumberland Farms store sustained minor injuries from broken glass from the bullet.
Nobody else was injured.
State police say that in both incidents the suspect approached a window at the business, fired a single round into the store and fled on foot.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s. He was wearing a blue hat, tan tee-shirt, dark vest, tan pants, black boots and white gloves.
