NEWPORT–North Country Athletic Director Mike Kiser has reported that the North Country boys hockey team will play two games at the Pat Burns Memorial Arena at Stanstead College this season.
The games are slated for December 6th and 7th 2013.
As of right now the Falcons’ opponents have not been one hundred percent confirmed, but possible candidates include South Burlington and the Stanstead College junior varsity team.
Times for the games have not been released, but it looks like it could either be a Friday and Saturday night scenario, or a Friday night, Saturday afternoon schedule.
So far, no additional games have been moved to the Canadian venue, nor has the girls hockey team been asked to come north of the border for any games in 2013-2014, but it is possible.
The two NCU teams currently split their practice time between Stanstead and Jay Peak’s Ice Haus.
Jay Peak serves as the team’s venue for home games.
More to come as details emerge.
