DERBY- North Country Union Junior High School (NCUJHS) board member Richard Cartee shared bad news at the October meeting. As a member of the building Committee, Cartee said the engineer and new foreman have discovered more problems with the school's physical plant. Inadequate heating in some classrooms and bathrooms, aging equipment in the kitchen, fire doors that may be a safety hazard have already been identified as needing fixing. Recently they learned that there are problems with the hot water in several classrooms as well as the locker room.
