This retro themed VW bus snow sculpture created by the Twelve Tribes Community - who own and operate the Yellow Deli, Common Sense Bakery, and Simon the Tanner in Island Pond - was both an interactive and organic artistic piece. People could go inside and pose for a photo like these kids. The wheels, hubcaps and license plate were real, and inside there was even a floor mat and a dashboard. There was music playing on the radio too. The yellow coloring on top was made from turmeric spice, and the bottom was colored using a mixture of carob powder and coffee. It was one of four snow sculptures that were part of the Island Pond Winter Carnival. (Photo by Jenn Hanlon)
