Joan Carolyn Armstrong

Joan Carolyn Armstrong, born May 18, 1939 in Troy, Vermont, passed away on August 22, 2011 in Marysville, WA.  She was the daughter of Orfice Armstrong and Gertrude Red.  She married Archie H. Cota in 1957, they were divorced in 1978. 
Joan worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years in Vermont and California. In 1993 she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Burlington College. 
She leaves six children: Kim Cota-Anderson and her husband Jeff of Marysville, WA; Keenan Cota of Milton, Vermont; Sherry and Sheryl Cota, both of Burlington, Vermont; Pamela Cota of Souix Falls, South Dakota; and Archie Cota of Montgomery Center, Vermont.  She was preceded in death by her brother Jack Armstrong. Joan is survived by her sister Jean Tousant of Syracuse, NY.  She will be missed by everyone who knew her.  A private graveside service is planned.
