ORLEANS-For the Lake Region Lady Rangers, it’s been an up and down year.
A slow start left them at 0-4 but it has become obvious over the course of the season the young crew has gotten better.
Visiting Vergennes found that out the hard way as the blue and white put the hammer down with heavy pressure early and ran away with a 40 point play-down victory.
LR head coach Joe Houston was pleased, saying, “We really played our type of game and they had tough time handling our pressure. We really have wanted to play that way all year, get out and trap and run. I think our depth kind of wears teams down. We have more weapons than a lot of teams we have faced. They didn’t handle our press and our girls kind of perked up and got a lot of steals and we got up the floor.”
