Legislature Contemplates Forcing Stores To Charge Customers For Using Disposable Bags

DERBY - Although it hasn’t gained much traction yet, the Legislature is contemplating a bill that requires merchants to charge ten cents for each disposable bag used. The fee would be imposed on both paper and plastic carryout bags.
