MONTPELIER - An animal cruelty bill which highlights a revised civil forfeiture clause, is now being reviewed by the House Judiciary Committee. The bill passed the Senate with several provisions, which also include a program between the Department of Corrections and animal shelters.
â€śWeâ€™re defining what animals are covered,â€ť said Representative Vickie Strong of Albany. â€śIf we are going to define animal cruelty we also want to determine if thereâ€™s a difference between farm animals and pets.
