Sheltra–– Merrill Alphis passed away at his home on June 10, 2012. Arrangements are being handled by Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford. Family and friends will be gathering at Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home at 37 Lake Rd. in Newport, VT, at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, followed by a 2 p.m. interment at Mountain View Cemetery in Lowell, VT. All are welcome to attend a celebration of life, held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at the Adams Farm, 15 Higley Hill Rd., in Wilmington, VT.
