MONTREAL–After two complete innings of play it looked like Orleans Red Sox from Ontario was going to run away with the championship game as they had amounted a 14-3 lead over the North Country Heat from Vermont. However, displaying an excellent example of a "never say die" spirit, the North Country Heat began there comeback. In the third inning the Heat would score ten runs and then in the fourth inning they would go onto score another seven more runs to take a 20 - 14 lead that they would never relinquish. The North Country Heat would score another thirteen runs in the sixth inning to close out the scoring and win the Michelin Tournament 33 - 14.
