NCAA Scoring Leader With NEK Roots

BURLINGTON - The Boston College Eagles men’s hockey team made a weekend stopover in Burlington to take on the resurgent number 14 ranked University of Vermont Catamounts.

The hockey college nation’s leading scorer, Johnny Gaudreau made his presence felt, ripping a power play goal from inside the right circle Friday and adding a blast after a pair of nifty moves Saturday to set up the scoring play.

And his heritage is from the NEK and Beebe, Vermont. His father Guy was a star in the 70s during the early going of North Country Union High School’s hockey program. Guy Gaudreau went on to star at Norwich and his son has just taken it to the huge next level.
