NCU Performers Heat Up the Stage

NEWPORT - North Country Union High School presented it's Winter Dance and Drama Concert Sunday. Students also did dress rehearsals for elementary and junior high students Friday.
The drama program included This is a Test by Stephen Gregg and Directed by Chase Gosselin and Meghan Corbett, and St. Joan Monologue by William Shakespeare from Henry VI, Act I, Scene 2, performed by Meghan Corbet.
Dance performances included Brighter Days, choreographed and performed by Gabby Cogan; Cadenza from Alto Saxophone Concerto No. 1 by Pierre Maxz Dubois, choreographed and performed by Kyla Paul; You Make Me Feel by Cobra Starship, choreographed and performed by Tia Drake, Kira Moore, Johna Saltsman and Brittany Tetlow; Blackbird by the Beatles, choreographed and performed by Gabby Cogan, Meghan Corbett, Eilish Muir and Kyla Paul; and a Street Pop Medley performed by numerous performing arts students.
The students also performed a Chi Kung Demonstration.
The program was directed by Cheri Skurdall. Chases Gosselin served as the technical director and lighting designer, and the performers were supported by the North Country Tech Crew.
Special thanks went out to Anne Hamilton, the business office, poster design team, area schools, Act Three Theatricals, and numerous supporters, parents, staff and local businesses.
