JAY–Trailing 3-0 after one period of play, the North Country Falcons, led by their captain Ryan Paul's hat trick, clawed their way back to tie, then eventually defeat the Spaulding Crimson Tide on Wednesday night at the Jay Peak Ice Haus.
"This was huge," Paul said about the win. "We have not come back from any deficit this year to win a game, and I think it shows the character and heart that we have. We just need to put it out there every night."
Dana Marsh stopped 27 shots for the Falcons, who move to 8-6-1, while Ben Ferland had 14 saves for 2-8-4 Spaulding.
North Country will go for the season sweep of Rice Memorial on Saturday when travel to South Burlington for a 7:40 showdown at the Cairns Arena.
