Ranger Boys Fall to Williamstown 13-7

May 20, 2012

WILLIAMSTOWN–The Rangers fell to Williamstown 13-7 this past weekend. Lake Region only gave up four hits in the contest, but eight walks, three hit batsmen, six wild pitches and four errors were the teams’ undoing.
On the other side the boys in blue had a great offensive performance, getting thirteen hits, but they could not string enough together to get more than seven runs.
Standouts on offense for the Rangers were Darik Messier who tripled, had 2 doubles and a single, Matt Messier had a double and a single and Alex Menard had 3 singles.
Matt Messier took the loss in the contest.
The boys will be in action today in a make up of last week’s weather delayed game against Lyndon. First pitch is at 4:30.
