FAIRFAX– Lake Region ran into a buzz saw in the form of BFA ace Robbie Rinaldo, as he set down the Rangers on a three hitter, striking out seven in six innings of work.
LR’s Tyler Jacobs pitched well, but was touched for a two run homer by Brett Hakey, which broke a 0-0 deadlock in the fourth. Hakey added a double, and would come on in relief, closing out the game for the Academy.
Kyle Perry had two hits for the Rangers as they move to 6-5, while BFA now stands at 10-3.
