Rangers Defeat Indians, Move Back to .500

October 19, 2011

DANVILLE – The Lake Region Rangers traveled to Danville Tuesday afternoon to face off against a tough Indians squad and came away with a 2-1 victory. Assistant Coach Dan Cummings took over the Head Coaching duties, because Coach Tom Evans was out due to his 2-game suspension. Tony Stuart and Shaquille Urie found the back of the net for the Blue and White. When contacted by telephone Coach Evans said that he was “pleased with the way his team responded and he was glad they were able to stay focused.”
The victory moved the Rangers record to 6-6-1 on the year, and they currently sit tied in 8th place in the Division 2 standings. Lake Region closes out their regular season with a matchup against the Winooski Spartans this afternoon at Ranger Field. Game time is set for 4:00
