BFA Fairfax 15, Lake Region 2
ORLEANS-What started out as a close game ended up in a blowout, as BFA Fairfax handed Lake Region a one-sided loss on Saturday morning.
BFA scored a pair of runs in the first and the second to jump out to the 4-0 lead.
Lake Region got on the board in the fourth, but the Bullets restored the four-run advantage with a run in the top of the fifth.
That would be the end of the day for Ranger starter Matt Messier, who finished his outing striking out ten, walking three and allowing three hits.
Logan Harper and Dillon Gile came on in relief, and Fairfax went to work, scoring ten runs in the final two innings en route to the win.
Messier and Gile scored the two Lake Region runs, while Dustin Bathalon had an RBI double.
The Rangers are now 1-2, and will try to get to .500 when they face Hazen on Tuesday.
