Red Devils Go Off in the Third to Upend Craftsbury
CRAFTSBURY–The Chelsea Red Devils play in the paint during the third quarter gave them the separation they needed to pull away from the Craftsbury Chargers and pick up a 61-42 win on Tuesday evening."We fought hard from start to finish," said Craftsbury coach Derek Cipriano. "Chelsea has a great inside-outside game and tonight they caught us with that inside game and made it tough for us to defend in the second half."Before play got underway, the Chargers honored their two out going seniors, Logan Masse and Paul Saaman."Playing with all the boys, I am going to miss that, the intensity of the games... and coming together as a team was a big thing for us," said Masse. The day was extra special for Saaman, as he came close to not having a senior year due to UCA not fielding a basketball program this winter."I just feel so blessed to have this opportunity and I want to thank all of the Craftsbury people who not only made it happen, but they were so welcoming and nice. Like I said, I just feel so blessed to be here," said Saaman. For the full story, see the Express on 2-20-14.
