ORLEANS-It hasn’t always been pretty.
But it has been effective. And you are, in sports, what you are in terms of record.
With that said the Lady Rangers are a pretty good little ballclub as they advanced Tuesday thru their playoff bracket.
Lake Region withstood a late Springfield rally to advance to the Division Two quarter-finals after a 51-48 play-down victory.
LRU got 18 points from Drew Neal and some clutch play in the waning moments from senior Sarah Burnham, as the blue and white achieved their 17th win against 4 defeats this winter.
17-4 LRU was paced by Neal’s 18. Tyrah Urie added 7 to help the Ranger cause.
Lake Region will most likely travel to play number 4 Hartford on Friday night with a 7 pm tip off in White River Junction.
