COVENTRY – The UCA Lady Crusaders faced off against the Richford Rockets Wednesday afternoon in a game that was moved to the Coventry Graded School due to unplayable field conditions at Gardner Park. UCA battled hard, but lost by a score of 2-0. Richford got early first half goals by Joslynn Bessette and Krista Murphy. Goalie Sydney Whipple made 17 saves in a losing effort.
Coach Sarah Roy said that, “the team played well, but we couldn’t find the back of the net.” The Lady Crusaders’ record now stands at 2-11 and will close out the regular season against the Concord Wildcats. The game will be played in Concord with kickoff set for 4:00.
