Tragic Accident in North Troy

NORTH TROY — Two Kingdom residents died in a car crash yesterday morning. Edmund Moran, 82, and Margaret Moran, 76, both of Jay, died as the result of a two-vehicle accident on RT 105 in North Troy.
Alexis Gabree, 26, of St. Albans, was driving a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer north on Route 105 when her vehicle apparently crossed the center line and hit an oncoming 2007 Honda Civic operated by Edmund Moran.
Edmund Moran died at the scene. Missisquoi Ambulance Service transported his passenger, Margaret Moran, to North Country Hospital in Newport City, where she died. Newport Ambulance Service transported Gabree to North Country Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled.
Firefighters from Troy and North Troy responded to the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
