Twinfield Tops Craftsbury 3-0

October 9, 2011

PLAINFIELD -- The Craftsbury Academy Chargers squared off against the Twinfield Trojans and walked away emptied handed, as they were blanked 3-0. Coach Mike Ruetz said that his team, “played really hard and physical.” And that his team was, “determined to get the victory, but that luck, just isn’t on their side.” A penalty kick, on a questionable shoulder-to-shoulder contact call, 5 minutes into the contest gave the Trojans an early 1-0 lead and shifted the momentum in their favor. With the loss the Chargers’ record stands at 1-7 and they will take the pitch again on Thursday, October 13th, when the UCA Crusaders travel to Craftsbury. The game is set to kick off at 4:00.
