NEWPORT - People from all over the United States and beyond are coming together in solidarity to support Ty Robertson, the young boy whose mother was viciously murdered in the St. Johnsbury area recently.
Singer-songwriter Willow Wells has composed a song on Ty's behalf; it is currently running on YouTube. The song's video contains photos of love and support from individuals and families from all over. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUQxBoBFlyY&sns=fb
The site includes a link and an address for making donations in support of the child.
Here in Newport, the Newport Car Wash and Mini-Mart held a fundraiser for Ty, who is currently living with family in Troy, VT. Employees held a bottle drive, cooked burgers, sold raffle tickets for gifts and gift certificates donated by local businesses, and collected tips from pumping gas.
A little over $1,000 was raised.
