ORLEANS–Tyrah Urie scored her 37th career goal with 25:00 left to play in the second half to break the Lake Region girl's goal scoring record on Saturday afternoon.
The tally was the Lady Rangers (9-2) third of their 4-0 win over Danville (2-6-1).
Lake Region got on the board in the first half when Megan Menard put one in with nine minutes remaining in the opening forty.
Thirteen minutes into the second, Urie off of a strange play in the corner, sent a cross in front to Sarah Burnham, who netted her first goal of the season.
Lake Region followed it up with Urie's record breaking goal, which was set up by Haley Kennedy.
Tyrah wasn't done yet, as she converted a pass from Menard for goal number 38.
"They could score an awful lot of goals together in the coming years," said coach Brad Urie.
However the play of the game belonged to Burnham.
With goalie Jordyn Cowles out of the net Sarah made a diving stop with her head to preserve the shut-out for her keeper.
"It was a pretty spectacular defensive play," noted coach Urie.
Cowles finished the game with seven saves for her 6th shut-out.
Lake Region will host Winooski on Tuesday at 4:00.
