Landowner Says He Will Post His Land

FERDINAND — The long-awaited results from the taxpaying landowners of the Unified Towns and Gores were finally tallied and released to the public on Monday evening during the regularly monthly scheduled meeting of the UTG Board at their municipal office in Ferdinand.
The final result was 170 voted against industrial wind development while only 107 voted in favor of wind development. The board of governors has said repeatedly they will stand behind the voters and support whatever the majority decides to do.
The Vermont Public Service Board, after public hearings, will have the final say whether the project can be completed.
