NEWPORT - Newport City Firefighter Will Lowell, with the help of Felicia Flint, a second grade student from Coventry Village School (CVS), explains safety gear used by firefighters.
As part of Fire Prevention Week, Flint and other CVS students visited the Newport City Fire Station Thursday.
There will be an open house at the station on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be department tours as well as hog dogs and hamburgers.
