WIFE HELD WITHOUT BAIL IN STABBING CASE

NEWPORT CITY – A Newport Center woman faces 20 years to life in prison for allegedly trying to kill her husband. "I hope I killed him," were the words police say Jennifer Ahlquist, 40, used after they took her into custody Thursday. Ahlquist was reportedly referring to stabbing Sean Ahlquist, 42, with a kitchen knife.Ahlquist entered not guilty pleas and was held without bail, charged with attempted second degree murder, first degree aggregated domestic assault with a weapon, unlawful trespass, and simple assault.
