Slaiby–– William Lewis, 76, of Derby, VT passed away suddenly on August 27, 2012 in Newport, VT.  A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Little Salem Lake Cemetery in Derby, VT with military honors. Reception following, at the house. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the Pope Memorial Frontier Animal Society, 502 Strawberry Acres Road, Newport, VT  05855.
