Lawson– William Spencer lost his courageous battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on November 12, 2012. Calling hours will be at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill Road, Newport,  on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 7–9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 1 p.m.  with  Pastors Glen Saaman and David Lisner officiating.  Donations in his memory can be made to Hope House, 237 East Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401-3412, where he stayed before his surgery.
