WOMAN CHARGED IN DOUBLE FATALITY

NORTH TROY, VT - Vermont State Police have charged Alexis Gabree, 26, of St. Albans, with careless and negligent operation of a motor vehicle and driving while under the influence, both resulting in the deaths of 82-year-old Edmund Moran and his 76-year-old wife Margaret, of Jay.
The crash occurred on Aug. 5, 2012, around 9 AM, on VT RT 105 in North Troy, VT. Police reported that Gabree had "failed to maintain her lane of travel" and crossed the centerline before striking the Moran's vehicle.
Edmund Moran died at the scene and Margaret Moran died later at North Country Hospital.
Gabree is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 14, 2013.
