NEWPORT, VT – This summer, area youth get the opportunity to help out their community while learning valuable job skills as part of a federally funded summer program called Supportive Services for Rural Homeless Youth (SSRHY). The task is to rebuild Gardner Park’s skate park, which was previously unsafe and in disrepair. Those involved in the program not only benefit from the skate park but learn how to build it as well.
