Three Derby Line Ambulance Service Board Members Resign

Staff Writer

Monday night three of four board members for the Derby Line Ambulance Service handed in their resignations to the selectboard. Later in the meeting, the selectboard signed a year contract with Newport Ambulance Service for $115,956.
“The members of the Derby Line Ambulance have asked that we, the members of the Derby Line Ambulance Board, relieve ourselves of our positions. After a great amount of thought, consideration and talk, we have decided to step down as members of Derby Line Ambulance Board of Directors,” states a letter written by Lawrence Burdick, David Patneaude and Paul Snider. “We want this notice to serve as our collective letter of resignation.”
Burdick, Patneaude and Snider, all of whom attended the meeting, declined to comment on their action. (Read full story in the Newport Daily Express Wednesday)
