NEWPORT–The North Country Falcons utilized a balanced scoring attack, and made some timely shots late to pick up a 61-58 win over the Spaulding Crimson Tide on Monday night.
"We saw a lot of heart out there tonight," NCU coach Ed Duncan said about his team after the game. "In each of the games over the last couple of weeks we have been there, but we haven't put in the full four quarters together to finish it out. But tonight we displayed that we are capable of doing that."
Monday night's games was the Falcons' "Pink Out" game to help fight cancer, and both the JV and varsity teams wore pink socks in honor of their cause.
