DERBY–After a tough 7-0 loss to Stowe on Friday afternoon, the Lake Region girls tennis team was at it again Saturday morning as they shook off the previous days matches and defeated U-32 by the score of 6-1.
Lake Region has received very strong play in the early going from Desirae Colorado and Kelly Leblanc. Leblanc returns to the number one slot this year while Colorado has been competing in the number two position for the Lady Rangers, an upgrade from number three a year ago.
"Desirae has show a great will to improve on her game while Kelly is full of confidence while she is playing," said Coach Laramee of her number one and number two players.
Both Leblanc and Colorado won their matches on Saturday as did the other three singles competitors Sara Gaboriault, Holly Lalime, Olivia Bernard, and the number two doubles team of Miranda Beaudry and Shannon Dunlavey.
Number one doubles partners Darcey Burke and Trishia Morley picked up the lone loss for the Lady Rangers.
"This is one of my strongest and deepest teams, as the talent goes deep into the line-up," Laramee said summing up her squad.
