ORLEANS-Senior Trevor Royer blasted two homeruns including a grand slam as the Rangers cut down the Wildcats 9-3 on Saturday. Royer’s sixth inning longball finished Hazen’s chances as he collected his third hit of the day. Royer had gone yard an inning earlier. Tyler Jacobs added a pair of hits and two RBI as the Rangers put up another high scoring total. Thru four games the Rangers have scored 46 runs while amassing a 3-1 record.
The Rangers spread the pitching among four players starting with Evan Royer who did a good job.
In game two Danville snapped Lake Region’s three game win streak jumping all over the Blue and White early as they got off to an 11-0 lead, eventually rolling to an 11-2 win. With Ranger pitching being severely stretched to the limit, they finally broke as Danville rolled. The Indians hit two homeruns and compiled 15 hits as a team. Danville hit, ran, and were aided by Ranger miscues as they greeted Ranger starter Kyle Perry.
Lake Region will host Thetford today at 4:30 in a makeup from April 12th. They follow that with Stowe at home Tuesday and peoples Thursday.
