JAY, VT – Bikers from all over New England and New York rallied at the Third Annual Kingdom Thunder held at Cedarwood Resort in Jay, Vermont.
Lead by Road Captains Jason and Gabrielle Renault of Orleans, VT, over 100 riders on 83 bikes took to the roads of the Northeast Kingdom Saturday, Aug. 25, and raised over $7,500 to support IROC, topping last year’s total by over $1,000. Cedarwood Resort put on a great barbecue with music by the Connecticut band The Bus Drivers, led by Jeff Przech. The event was open to the general public and drew a great crowd.
Early evening entertainment was provided by the local band AV Club. Friday night, Monami got the weekend off to a great start at D’Cotas.
The rally was sponsored by Wilkins Harley-Davidson of Barre, Jay Peak Resort, United Motorcycles of Vermont, as well as Don Henn’s Auto Repair, Ahh Massage, Naturally Vermont, Edward Jones, Kinney Drugs, Wilson & White, P.C., and Vermont Beef Jerky Co.
“These guys were terrific in their support of IROC and their great good spirit out on the road and over the entire weekend,” said Phil White, Executive Director of IROC. “Special thanks for all the hard work over the past year put in by the members of the Kingdom Thunder Organizing Committee, Gabrielle and Jason Renault, Pat Kilday, Randy Wells, Don and Donny Henn, Mark Perry, and Steve Vincent. Just a great group to work with planning this event. And to MOO FM for helping to spread the word.”
“As IROC continues in its fight for survival, it’s this kind of robust support that keeps us going. Gotta love these guys.”
