ORLEANS-Strong defense leads to good offense, and with a smothering press combined with some lights out shooting, the Lake Region boys ran all over the Stowe Raiders en-route to a season-high 93-38 win on Friday night.
“It was an all-around great effort out there, one through eleven. We were missing Clint, but everyone played well," said LRU coach James Ingalls. "We just wanted to work out the kinks on defense, as last few games we have been letting up the last few minutes, but they brought the intensity for 32 minutes tonight."
Caleb Prue's 22 points were a game-high, and the Ranger also had a great showing by sophomore Dakota McAllister, who had sixteen points, and as always Drew Gallup played well, scoring 14.
For Stowe (5-9), three players, Joseph Murphy, Theo Bland and Petey Walsh had eight points apiece to lead the Raiders.
As noted, Hazen is next on the schedule, and they will roll into the Don Harter Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday for a 7:00 showdown with the 14-0 Rangers.
